Best White Sneakers to Wear with Dresses to Look Fantastic

What kind of white sneakers is best to wear with dresses if a girl or a woman wants to look fantastic? Poor Little It Girl is rapidly becoming more and more of an homage to white shoes in all their incarnations.

I have written an article titled “The 4 Best White Sneakers for Spring,” and I have also included a compilation of “The 5 Summer Shoe Styles Every Woman Should Have in Her Closet,” in which I have included these sneakers.

I’ve tried them on in every conceivable configuration and paired them with every imaginable ensemble.

The fact that a simple pair of traditional white sneakers can be worn with almost any outfit is one of the many reasons why we all like them so much. You may pair them with a wide variety of garments, including dresses, jeans, shorts, skirts, and just about anything else you can think of.

There is a good chance that you have more than one pair of shoes stashed away in your closet right now. However, not all white shoes are indeed made the same.

Also, before we begin, I want to make it clear that we are not going to be discussing just any pair of sports shoes today (I’m looking at you, Air Force 1), including running shoes, tennis shoes, or Air Force 1s.

The Best White Sneakers to Wear with a Dress:

Considering the wide variety of white sneaker designs available, this is by no means an exhaustive list of the best white sneakers to wear with a dress.

But I thought it would be fun to talk about the few different types that I own, wear, and like when worn with a dress.

You might try going for a more colorful look, but in all honesty, white is simply one of those colors that looks well with everything. As always, I’m going to try to make the prices on this list reasonable.

In other words, you won’t find a pair of Common Projects shoes on the list since your girlfriend probably doesn’t have $400 to drop on a pair of sneakers.

Therefore, without further ado… let me introduce you to some of my favorite white sneakers that look great with dresses.

You may get to the original blog article by clicking on the photographs of the outfits that go with each style that I refer to. FYI, this option is available. You all know how much I like going through the Poor Little It Girl archives and taking a walk down memory lane!

Keds Sneakers: It seemed only natural that I begin my love letter to white sneakers with a discussion of Keds. Is there a shoe that’s more iconic than this one? It doesn’t seem likely to me. I used to wear them when I was younger, and now I still do.

They are, in every sense of the word, the archetypal multipurpose shoe that can be worn by people of a wide range of ages.

although they are lace-up shoes, you can simply put your foot into them as a slip-on sneaker, which is incredibly easy. They are comfy and lightweight, and even though they have laces, they feel like slip-on sneakers.

Keds are available in a wide range of constructions, but the canvas upper version is the one that I find most comfortable.

I believe that my summer dresses and my laid-back mom style look best when they are made of canvas or cotton. And even though they have a rubber outsole, they can be cleaned in the washing machine without any problems.

When they become a bit soiled, I can just toss them in the washing machine, and they come out looking as good as new!

White leather shoes are what I go for when I want to give the impression of being more put together when wearing a sundress and sneakers together. I paired them with a floral-tiered midi skirt for a bright springtime look as well as with lace.

In addition to matching them with my tiny black dress for the ensemble shown in today’s blog article, I also wore these with lace.

Because leather is a material of a somewhat higher class, I save these sneakers for when I want to seem a little more put together.

The uppers of these white M.Gemi shoes are constructed of pliable leather, while the soles are composed of lightweight rubber.

Even though I’ve owned these bad boys for a couple of years now, they still look and feel like they were just bought yesterday. Yes, I am aware that the pricing is a little bit on the higher end.

You may also follow the example set by Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton and get a pair of leather Veja V-10 shoes. These sneakers are quite fashionable and are available at a more affordable price range.

Plus, they are constructed from recycled materials, so you can feel good about purchasing them knowing that you are doing your part to assist the environment.

If you are interested in purchasing a pair of white leather shoes, here are a few possibilities that you may look into as well.

Converse Shoes: I don’t remember when I bought my very first pair of Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers, but collecting them has been a lifelong passion of mine ever since I did.

This shoe style is a classic, and who doesn’t love a classic? It’s possible that my parents wore Converse shoes back in the day; that should give you an idea of how long this particular street style has existed.

Converse are simply the nicest of all the white shoes, and I’d say they look amazing on everyone whether it’s with skirts or jeans. They come in high tops, low tops, and everything in between.

The question is, how can you wear iconic footwear like Converse with a dress? As you can see from the photographs I’ve included below, I like wearing them with denim jackets.

However, I would admit that maintaining their cleanliness and odorless state is one of my primary concerns. They are most beautiful when they have a sparkling white appearance.
